Akeyo sensei
How is your health condition? I got noro virus the doctor said a month ago. My diarrhea was so hard then I could eat nothing for two days. I had to take two days off. It is for two weeks I had got well completely. Please take rest up with good sleep and nice foods.
Well, I will be absent from next class on Monday, 14th as I am going to Perth in Australia with my younger daughter from Feb. 12th to 19th. My daughter stayed there for a while so her friends live now and there are some braiders so I will talk with them about braiding.
It is the hot season in Perth so I am worry about what wears I should take with and look forward the color of the sky. My daughter said it was different from Japan’s. And I would like to get books written with large alphabets for my reading.
Please say my regard to the classmate.

尾上先生いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
先生のレッスン毎週回楽しみにしているので、早く元気になって下さい。
　さて、１つご相談したいことがあります。私は３月で育児休業が終わるため、４月より仕事に復帰することになっています。なので今のレッスンは３月までしか続けることができません。本当に残念です。
そこで、土・日又は平日の夜などに尾上先生のレッスンが受けられる機会などはありませんでしょうか？
このホームページを拝見した限りでは、現在のところなさそうな気もいたしましたが・・・。自分も英会話を続けたいと思いますし、続けるならぜひ尾上先生のレッスンが受けたいと思っております。

This year is "a bird year" in Japanese "Eto".
Why do we use 酉 ,not 鳥?
How to explain Japanese "Eto" in English?

"Eto" is the year's lucky animals.It was imported from China in long time ago. God called tewlve animals and let them have a race. God give each year to them in order of their winning.
As a result,all of them were set up as the lucky
animals of each years. The first is a mouse,the second is a cow,the third is a tiger,....
The Japanese popular fortune telling is held by knowing one's birth year's "Eto".

I can't explain it even in Japanese.
...What's "Eto"? ?

However there happened a terrible Tsunami disaster then so many people were killed. I have great sympathy for the victims. I think about the wars were really nonsense then we should realize to be only a small creature.
By the way, I will be over 43 years-job on coming March. I haven't planned what I should do after that, however I would like to go to other countries spoken in English such as America, England, Kanada or Australia etc. I may get reading and writing English better than before though I have hardly listening or speaking yet. I wish to be better in English there. Also I would like to read more stories written in English I read in my young days.
I look forward next lessen Monday, 17th.

We are just speechless, very much astonished and greieved at one of the worst natural disasters in history. I have no suitable condolences for the victims and their families...

I'm really thankful that you attended our year-end party at Kazuko's place. We had a happy time.
I think there were a lot of sad and terrible things in the world, though. I think I try to find the good side of everything.
One of my new year's resolutions is to improve my listening and....

Merry Chrsimas, Ms.Akeyo!
This is the top season for my work.
Viva! Hallelujah! ban-zai! Christmas!
Everyone should go to jewelry shops quickly.(^ ^)/
Last night, I went listening the Christmas concert by pipeorgan at Yokohama.
The bayside was illuminated , It was very beautiful sight. A big tree illuminated with many colorful lights was blinking and changing color to the sound of Christmas songs.(included the thema of Huyu-no-Sonata)
I felt happy to have such a wonderful time.
I wish your happy Christmas!!

This is my first time to write to you on this board.
I'm really enjoying to play the role of various person (Mike, Sakura & others) in your lesson every time !

It is the season Christmas songs can be heard on the street.
There are only a couple of weeks left before the New Year comes.

I found that it would be available to study English by writing down on this board.
Because when I write English, I must always open the dictionary, and also I consider how to make sentence pattern in English.
The writing is different from the conversation. Nobody help me when I'm at a loss what to say in English (* o *;)/

尾上先生はじめまして。DENからこちらのサイトを見つけました。
実は私もドラマセラピーに非常に興味を持っている者です。先生はアメリカのNADTと関係があるのでしょうか？
自分もいつかアメリカに留学に行きたいです。
今はAction Therapy with Families and Groups という近年アメリカから出たWiener博士の本を取り寄せて読んでいます。今は都合によりすぐに留学は難しいのですが、何かもしおすすめのワークショップもしくは本（洋書もOK）などがありましたら、教えて頂ければ有難いです。

サイコドラマ等にも非常に興味があります。
あの、「違い」というのが、クリックした先を読んでもまだわからなかったのですが、
サイコドラマとの違いがありましたら
それも教えて頂けたら嬉しいです。
最近カウンセリングを勉強されている方のつてで
プレイバックシアターワークショップに参加して
いろんな「演劇の可能性」を知りたい、と強く思っています。

サイコドラマとの違いをごく簡単に説明しましょう。ドラマセラピーでは、現実とは違う場面で自分でない人の役になることが多いのに対して、サイコドラマでは主役の人は基本的にその人自身の役を現実に即して演じるのです。
本当に「演劇」には、様々な応用の可能性があります。留学に向けて頑張ってください！

I was sorry to be absent from today's lesson.
I couldn't wake up this morning.(- -;)
Hiromi was absent,too. Because she had a cold.
She doesn't send a letter to a secret santa.
Will a secret santa wait for her letter until next lesson's day?
Recently, it has been too warm for winter. Take care of yourself.
(Would you check my english, especially the sentence "She doesn't send a letter...",and "Recently,...".
I want to say "彼女は、まだ手紙を提出していないんです。”and "最近、冬なのに暑い日が続いていますよね" I can't understand [perfect form] so much.)

You must have been tired since you always work a little too much, I'm afraind...
I'd say "She hasn't sent a letter to her secret Santa yet." The other sentence is correct.
You speak(write) English well. Keep it up!

Thank you for your kind teaching to us. Also I was sorry to be late for the class last time.
By the way, the reason why I started to learn English is that I would take my homepage to translate into English by myself though the introduction of it had already got into English by my friend an American woman I asked. However I had to give the account by myself. Also I had to read some email written in English from other country besides I had to give the answer to it too. I have studied by myself two years before it was about forty-five years since I left school. I realized the limitation of studying by myself after so many years not to learn. Then I have got in the class since one year ago. I was lucky to meet you and your class.

まさにそうですね。ドラマセラピーが「非日常」という「場」の中で行なわれるということは、大切なことです。いつもと違う自分になることで癒されることがあるとすれば、「舞台」は「非日常」であったほうがよいのです。バーチャルの世界で感情を吐き出したら、現実の世界が良くなる、ということが起き得るのです！機会があったら、ぜひ「ドアをノックして」ください。

　毎日お忙しいですのに、私事の為に、すばらしいメッセイジを頂きまして、ありがとうございました。実は、私にとってＰＣは、とてもストレスが多く、一年以上もほったらかし状態でした。先生が、ＨＰを開設いたしませんでしたら、おそらく年賀状を作るまで、埃を被ったまま放置していたことでしょう。

I sometimes take care of my2year granddaughter:なっちゃん．
Ｓhe loves playing house.
Ｗe build a house with toy blocks.
Ｔhere are dolls animals bears squirrels cats dogs and so on in it and miniature cars tracks and ambulance around there.
So we do play-house.
We ourselves are sky but not to be in front of many people.
We enjoy playing to become a baby a mother and various persons like drama each other.
We sometime mimic crying laughing and getting angry.
She makes me see various feelings.
She might be my therapist.
I hope your dramatherapy will expand a lot.

It's very good that you can play the roles of various people and express your feelings when playing house with なっちゃん! Yes, it sounds like she is your "therapist". Kids are very honest, expressive and openminded...and I'm sure we can learn a lot from them and also get good energy. Hope you'll have much more great time with her!

先生は、やっぱりすごいですね！
英会話のテキストもドラマ仕立てで毎回楽しみにしています。今期はマイクとさくらの恋物語ですね（＾〜＾）
そーいや以前マイクの初夢は go to a church,laughing merrily.だったなとか、ボブ・アン夫婦に　What's ideal wife like ?　とか聞かれてたなとか、そうそうこれは、likeを後につけるんだったとか
ドラマと一緒にちょっとは英語も憶えられていたりして
、先生のテキストはすごいな〜と思ったりします。
まさに楽しい英会話ですね（＾ｖ＾）

ドラマセラピーとは「もう１人の自分を演ずること」で癒される、と云われております。で、私が思うには、日常生活の中で、「本音と建て前」を使い分けて過ごすのも、或る意味でのドラマセラピーでしょうか？　コメントをお願いします。

書き込みありがとうございます。
ドラマセラピーには多くのアプローチ、多くの効用がありますが、いつもの自分と違う自分を演じることで気分がスッキリしたり、癒されることはもちろんあります。この「違う自分」は、一人とは限らず、もっと何人もいるかもしれませんね。

さて、ご質問の「本音と建て前・・・」についてですが、ドラマセラピーのセッションで、普段は出さない（出せない）自分の本音を思いっきり出してもらうことがあります。いわば「建て前」の自分を演じてもらい、その「裏」で本心は実は何て言っているのか、吐き出してもらうのです。こうすることで、気持ちが晴れたり、また自分自身でも知らなかった自分の本音に気づくことができたりします。
「日常生活の中で本音と建て前を使い分ける」というのは、ある状況、またはある人の前では「本音」をきちんと出して生きている、という意味で言われたのでしょうか？そうであれば、そういう人はきっと心のバランスは取れているのではないかと思います。「建て前」だけで、あるいは「本音」を押しCENSORED生きている状況の人がいたとすれば、当然それを何らかの方法で外に出してあげた方が良いですね！

fenix8さんへ、追伸です。
ドラマセラピーのセッションで演じてもらう「別の自分」は、その人が「なりたい自分」であったり、「自分で理解のできない自分」であったり「自分自身で誤解している自分」であったりします。そうしているうちに自分や他人をもっとよく理解できる「新しい自分」になっていけるのです。
こういう意味においては、ドラマセラピー・セッションで演じる「今までの自分（いつもの自分）」と「新しい自分」の違いは、日常生活の中での「本音」と「建て前」の違いとは少し性質が異なることになりますね。
